AVID - Dual MADI I/O Card

The AVID Dual MADI I/O Card is a digital expansion card designed to extend the capabilities of Pro Tools MTRX II with high-density MADI connectivity. It allows MADI-compatible professional audio equipment to be easily integrated into studio, broadcast, live or post-production infrastructures using the MTRX II as the core audio system.

This card provides up to 128 channels of MADI audio input and output via two SFP optical ports. It facilitates long-distance digital audio exchanges with MADI-compatible consoles, converters, routers, interfaces and broadcast systems, while maintaining low latency and excellent transmission stability.

Built-in sample rate conversion allows equipment operating on different clocks or frequencies to be connected without the need for complex external synchronisation. This feature greatly enhances the flexibility of hybrid installations and simplifies production workflows.

Pro Tools MTRX II provides a highly scalable platform with eight slots for optional cards. The Dual MADI I/O Card can be combined with other analogue or digital cards to create a fully customised setup for modern studios, broadcast control rooms or Dolby Atmos immersive systems.

The basic MTRX II system already includes 64 DigiLink channels, 256 Dante channels and 64 MADI channels, to which several Dual MADI I/O cards can be added to achieve extremely high capacities. An all-digital configuration can manage up to 1,088 MADI channels in a single system.

Audio workflows, routing and monitoring are managed directly via the DADman software, ensuring seamless integration into professional Pro Tools environments and complex networked audio infrastructures.
