AVID - Dual SDI/HD/3G Card

The AVID Dual SDI/HD/3G Card is a professional expansion card designed to extend the digital audio capabilities of Pro Tools | MTRX II interfaces in broadcast, video post-production and immersive audio environments.

The card adds two SDI/HD/3G connections capable of handling audio insertion and extraction directly from SDI video streams. Each link supports up to 16 audio channels, giving a total of 32 digital audio channels integrated into professional video infrastructures.

Designed for modern TV, cinema and broadcast workflows, the card facilitates the integration of audio signals into video chains while maintaining perfect synchronisation between image and sound. Thanks to the embed/de-embed function, audio signals can be extracted from incoming SDI streams or reinjected into outgoing video streams as required by the system.

Built-in sample rate conversion ensures optimum compatibility with external equipment using different digital audio standards. This feature greatly simplifies complex set-ups where multiple digital sources co-exist.

Installed in one of the eight expansion slots available in Pro Tools | MTRX II, this card integrates perfectly into hybrid analogue and digital set-ups. It can be used alongside DigiLink, Dante, MADI or analogue cards to build fully customised systems tailored to the needs of post-production studios and broadcast control rooms.

Thanks to its modular architecture, the Pro Tools | MTRX II system can achieve extremely high capacities by combining several expansion cards, enabling the management of hundreds of digital audio channels in a single centralised interface.
