AVID - Pro Tools MTRX SPQ

The AVID Pro Tools MTRX SPQ Speaker Processor Card transforms the Pro Tools MTRX interface into an advanced monitoring calibration and management system. Developed for post-production studios, broadcast control rooms, Dolby Atmos installations and immersive mixing environments, this card provides precise speaker control directly from the MTRX ecosystem.

Thanks to its integrated processing engine, the SPQ card can manage up to 128 channels at 48 kHz, with a total of 1,024 IIR filters available. Each channel can benefit from up to 16 equalisation filters dedicated to room tuning, making it easy to optimise the acoustics of complex monitoring systems, whether it's a stereo control room, a 7.1.4 system or an extended Dolby Atmos configuration.

Advanced bass management allows the use of multiple subwoofers with precise crossover and time alignment settings. Each channel also has individual delay control, with a range of up to 800ms, to perfectly align the different speakers in the system according to room geometry or installation constraints.

Integration with DADman software gives full access to calibration, routing and monitoring parameters. All settings can be stored in Pro | Mon profiles for instant recall of working configurations. The card automatically adapts its processing to changes in sampling frequency, guaranteeing consistent operation across all sessions.

Compatible with immersive formats up to 64 channels of Dolby Atmos, the SPQ is particularly well suited to modern studios working in immersive music, cinema post-production, multichannel broadcast or advanced spatial mixing.

Please note that this card is incompatible with the MTRX II.
