The HDMI supports the format "full-raster" with digital clarity pixel by pixel without video compression for a surprising result in image quality and color depth surpassing by far the highly compressed based on the DV stream, HDV, AVC and other recording codecs.

In fact, on many current cameras, the HDMI stream comes directly from the sensor, bypassing the compression processor, allowing the HD Express to restore uncompressed HD digital video signal of high purity directly from the focal length of the camera to your computer.

If you are looking for the best possible picture quality, you can work in uncompressed HD and use the money saved thanks to the HD Express to other useful devices, for example, a storage drive external.
