The KMS 104 and KMS 105 microphones have been developed to permit optimal sound of the human voice. They are ideal for demanding applications concert. The KMS 105, already available on the market in recent years, has become an internationally recognized standard in the field of high-quality stage microphones.

With their particularly low level of background noise and an effective rejection of off-axis sound without coloration artifact, both microphones are ideal for use with personal headphones systems.

The KMS 104 has a cardioid capsule, ensuring the best possible suppression of sounds originating from behind the microphone. For its part, the KMS 105 is particularly effective to remove the sound from the 180 ° hemisphere behind the microphone. The user can freely choose the version that best suits their specific application.

The high sound resolution and flat frequency response of the microphones ensure that the musician has at any time optimal control of his performance on stage.
Acoustic characteristics
The studio condenser capsules used in both microphone allow from the outset, to capture all the nuances of the human voice. In comparison with other handheld microphones, which use most dynamic capsules, the KMS series offers a high degree of acoustic transparency, a wide frequency range and a fine resolution of transients.

In both microphones, carefully adjusted acoustic filters and transformerless impedance converters that can handle very high levels of sound pressure, avoid overloading the microphone, even by strong plosive sounds.

Despite excellent protection against plosives, sibilants and other sounds "S" are transmitted with their natural accentuation, as only condenser microphones allow. In addition, the already mentioned acoustic filters are designed so as to preserve the capsules directional characteristics even in the bass. These filters therefore provide the vocal microphones KMS 104 and KMS 105 a very effective protection against feedback when used in sound reinforcement.
Electrical Characteristics
Since vocal microphones are used most often in proximity, electronic compensation serious mitigates the proximity effect on the capsules.

In addition, each microphone has a non switched off high pass filter whose cutoff frequency is 120 Hz (-3 dB point measured in open field). The dynamic range of the KMS 104/105 is 132 dB, and the level of maximum permissible sound pressure of 150 dB.

The background noise level is reduced at the input of only 18 dB (A). This allows the use microphones with a high gain levels without the risk of additional noise. Even at great distances, the microphones ensure high signal / noise ratio, facilitating the freedom of movement and creativity, important aspects for the artist.

Thanks to the transformerless output circuit, the microphone signals can be transmitted over long cables without sound degradation.
Mechanical characteristics
Microphones designed for use on stage must have a particularly robust construction. Therefore, KMS 104 and KMS 105 have a metallic body of great thickness, also provide effective protection against handling noise.

The gates of these microphones are resistant steel. If necessary, they unscrew easily, to allow cleaning of internal acoustic filters.
Comes with
The KMS 104 and KMS 105 microphones are supplied with a microphone stand clamp and a padded nylon bag that is sufficiently durable for touring.
