Drums these djembes are placed in an oven to be dried for a period of 4 years minimum, which gives them great stability over time. Rebalanced using a lathe specially adapted, such drums are then gradually polished by successive sanding with sandpaper of increasingly fine. Their possible microcracks are chamfered and glued precisely before mounting the instrument. They are also coated with a bee wax mixture and terpines to protect their attacks wood borers.
