The Grand 88 Notes Kawai Hammer-Action Keyboard with Ivory Keys from Nord features a heavy touch with three advanced sensors that capture the movements of the hammers precisely, providing the smooth, natural feel of an acoustic grand piano. Incorporating powerful playing features and a convenient user interface, this lightweight piano can be used on stage, in theaters, in rehearsals and in the recording studio.
The keyboard features dedicated potentiometers and buttons for all essential functions for on-stage performance. You can create layers and splits, add effects or transpose the instrument on the fly.
The Nord Grand keyboard is equipped with an advanced mechanism that provides perfect control when playing both fortissimo and pianissimo, producing smooth repeats and retriggering without completely lifting the key. The Ivory Touch surface gives the keyboard optimal feel and authenticity.
The Nord Grand comes directly with a bank including 10 grand pianos, 9 upright pianos, 10 upgraded electric pianos, clavinet, digital pianos which make up the exclusive Nord Piano Library. Advanced String Resonance reproduces the complex interplay of piano strings resonating at their fundamental or harmonic frequencies when other notes are played. This adds a very rich soundscape, worthy of a real piano when playing with the pedal depressed.
The Nord Grand's FX section incorporates a wide range of stereo effects modeled after classic pedals. All effects can be freely assigned to the piano or synthesizer section. Other features include: creative piano filters, the Nord Triple Pedal with dynamic pedal noise, smooth release, 3 dynamic curves to suit playing style, and a Synth section sample of strings, brass, synths, backing vocals, and high-quality sounds from the Nord Sample Library 3.0.
Simply plug your MP3 or CD player into the rear panel of the Nord Grand's monitoring input to play, rehearse or improvise with already recorded music, without the need for an external console or audio system. The signal is also routed to the main outputs.
