The AER Compact XL captures the spirit of the famous Compact 60 whilst offering more power and greater dynamic range. With its 200 W amplifier, it delivers greater dynamics and allows you to play in larger venues whilst maintaining a clear, warm sound that remains true to your instrument.
Its two independent channels allow you to connect an acoustic guitar, a microphone or other instruments. The second channel features an XLR/jack combo input with 48 V phantom power, making it easy to connect a condenser microphone. Each channel has its own EQ settings so you can quickly achieve a sound tailored to your needs.
The 2-way speaker system combines an 8" speaker with a 1" dome tweeter. This configuration delivers greater precision in the high frequencies and improved detail reproduction, whether you’re playing acoustic guitar, vocals, stringed instruments or even certain electric instruments.
The Compact XL also features four digital effects: two reverbs, a delay and a chorus. You can adjust their presence on both channels using the Pan control, making it easy to add depth to your sound. The DI output, effects loop, auxiliary input, headphone output and tuner output provide all the connectivity you need for both live performances and home use.
Despite its power, the Compact XL is easy to transport, weighing just 11.2 kg, and comes with a padded carry bag. It’s an amp designed for musicians who want to recreate the natural sound of an AER whilst enjoying a more comfortable volume for their gigs and rehearsals!
