Presentation
The AER MM 200 Monte Montgomery was developed in collaboration with the American guitarist Monte Montgomery to meet the needs of musicians who play with a wide dynamic range. Whether you prefer delicate fingerstyle or a more energetic style using a pick, this amp reproduces every nuance with precision.
Its two 8" speakers and 170 W output provide plenty of volume headroom whilst maintaining a clear, balanced sound. Even when playing loudly or using effects pedals, the sound remains precise, with punchy bass and treble that’s easy on the ear.
The two independent channels make it easy to connect a guitar and a microphone. The first channel features a 9 V phantom power supply for certain pickup systems, whilst the second accepts both a microphone and a line-level source via its XLR/jack combo input with 48 V phantom power.
To tailor your sound to any situation, you have a dedicated EQ on each channel as well as four built-in digital effects: two reverbs, a delay and a chorus. An effects loop is also available if you wish to incorporate your favourite pedals.
The MM 200 is a very comprehensive unit, also featuring an adjustable DI output, a line output, a tuner output, a headphone socket, an auxiliary input and a footswitch control for effects or the mute function.
Despite its capabilities, the unit remains relatively easy to transport, weighing in at 15.2 kg. If you’re looking for an amp capable of handling both your rehearsals and your gigs, whilst staying true to the character of your instrument, the AER MM 200 Monte Montgomery is a particularly compelling choice!

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, and based in Austin, Monte Montgomery is an American guitarist and songwriter renowned for pushing the boundaries of acoustic guitar with a virtuosic and electrifying approach. His unique technique, combining two-handed tapping, string slapping and dazzling harmonics, has earned him a place amongst the “50 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” by Guitar Player Magazine and the title of “Best Acoustic Guitarist” for seven consecutive years at the Austin Music Awards. He came to the attention of the wider public following a memorable performance on the programme Austin City Limits in 1999, which helped cement his reputation as the “shred master” of the acoustic guitar. His style, which blends rock, blues and pop with melodically sophisticated songs, makes him a well-rounded artist, whose impressive playing never detracts from the essence of his compositions.
