The sound of the AIAIAI TMA-2 DJ Wireless begins with the very material of the diaphragm: the bio-cellulose of the 40 mm S11 transducer lends an organic texture to the sound spectrum — warm mid-range, dense bass — where other synthetic diaphragms introduce an artificial harshness. The N45 neodymium magnet brings out the best in this surface: sensitivity of 97 dB/mW, impedance of 32 Ω, and a frequency response ranging from 10 Hz to 40 kHz. The result is a closed-back, supra-aural headphone with high acoustic isolation, whose enhanced bass reproduces the lower end of the spectrum without overemphasising it.
The transmission chain operates in three distinct modes. W+ Link mode — controlled by the X03 transmitter (20-hour battery life, 2-hour charging time) — delivers the signal at 320 Kb/s in 24-bit/48 kHz with a latency of 9 ms over a range of 12 metres: an uncompressed stream with no perceptible delay between the turntable and the listener’s ears. Bluetooth 5.2 (A2DP profile, 10 m) takes over for mobile listening. In wired mode, the C02 thermoplastic coiled cable extends up to 3.2 metres — starting length 1.50 m — without restricting the DJ’s movements.
The design supports all this with understated elegance: the H02 headband, made from reinforced nylon with moulded silicone padding, and the E02 ear pads, crafted from memory foam and covered in PU leather, ensure stable support for hours on end. The S11 drivers last for over 25 hours on a single USB-C charge. The headphones weigh 207 g and are available in White, supplied with the A01 fabric pouch and a 3.5 mm mini-jack to 6.35 mm jack adapter for use with mixing desks in the DJ booth.
