Ashdown - UK-PBM-208H

Two drivers are better than one under the hood of the Ashdown UK-PBM-208H, a 2x8" bass amp cabinet that boosts the bass response of an amp head. Its two ∅203.2 mm (8-inch) Sica Neo drivers share the load, supported by a ∅76.2 mm (3-inch) tweeter that delivers clear highs whilst the well-defined mid-range tones remain distinct.

The premium plywood cabinet features a Charcoal Tweed finish and a Silver Weave grille, bearing the Double Wing logo on the front. The right-hand speaker, a sealed enclosure, handles an RMS power of 200 watts at an impedance of 8 ohms, in a grey finish assembled in the UK. It weighs 11.40 kg and measures 535 x 340 x 325 mm – a size that works just as well on its own as in a rig.

The Speakon inputs and outputs allow the speaker cabinet to be connected in a single step, whilst the external speaker output enables a multi-cabinet setup. When paired with an amplifier head, this scalable system follows its owner from the rehearsal room to the concert stage, whether used on its own or as part of a cluster.

This pair of speakers doesn’t seek to dominate on its own; it finds its rhythm as a duo, and takes it up a notch when backed by a second speaker cabinet on the same stage line.
