Axel Technology - Alimentation redondante pour Oxygen 3000 Plus

In a broadcast console, an electrical fault can have immediate consequences for programme continuity. The redundant power supply for the Axel Technology Oxygen 3000 Plus provides additional protection by adding a second external power supply unit capable of taking over in the event of a problem with the main power supply.

The Oxygen 3000 Plus uses universal 12 V switching power supplies with 4-pin XLR connectors. Each unit accepts a mains voltage of between 90 and 264 V AC and a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz, enabling the console to operate on different mains supplies without any special adaptation. The power supply system has a rated power of 120 W.

With the redundant configuration, both power supplies are connected to the console, ensuring its reliable operation. Should one of the power supplies fail, the Oxygen 3000 Plus immediately detects the fault and displays an alert on its 7-inch TFT colour screen. The operator is thus provided with a direct indication of the problem whilst the console remains in operation.

This architecture is particularly suitable for environments where the console must remain available at all times and where technical intervention cannot necessarily be carried out immediately. Redundancy obviously does not replace maintenance of the faulty unit, but it allows for replacement or diagnosis to be carried out without directly causing the console to shut down.
