When a broadcast setup requires more audio sources and outputs, the Oxygen 3000 Plus can be expanded using this additional audio I/O card. Installing it enables a configuration with two audio cards and increases the number of available inputs and outputs on the console.

The benefit is particularly noticeable when it comes to microphones. The dual-card configuration provides up to 10 microphone inputs with Automix, which is suitable for set-ups involving multiple speakers or requiring more extensive microphone management. Analogue capabilities are also enhanced, with 4 stereo inputs – expandable to 8 stereo inputs by utilising other input sources – as well as 8 analogue stereo outputs.

Telephony also benefits from this expansion. The Oxygen 3000 Plus can accommodate 1 to 2 telephone hybrids or 1 to 2 Telco interfaces with GPIO, with the option to support up to 8 Telco channels by utilising other input resources. The card also expands Bluetooth connectivity options, with up to two audio interfaces, whilst the digital inputs can be used via AES/EBU or USB for audio playback.

At the same time, the computer environment gains new resources. The dual-card configuration offers up to 4 USB audio inputs for playback, along with 2 USB outputs for recording. A streaming input and output complete this set-up, enabling the console to communicate directly with digital audio streams.

This card therefore constitutes a functional extension rather than a mere connectivity accessory. It enables the Oxygen 3000 Plus to accommodate more sources simultaneously and to adapt its configuration to the needs of a more complex production environment, without changing the console.
