Axel Technology - Licence DML Audio 8 Channel

For installations requiring extensive audio logging, Axel Technology’s DML Audio 8-Channel Licence enables eight independent recording channels within the DML Audio system. This capability allows multiple streams to be centralised within a single solution whilst maintaining a clear separation between the different sources.

The principle behind Digital Media Logging is the continuous recording of content to provide a searchable archive after it has been broadcast. With eight channels, the system can simultaneously monitor multiple signals from, for example, different programmes, studios, broadcast outputs or external sources. Each stream is stored separately, which subsequently makes it easier to search for specific content without having to scroll through a single recording containing multiple sources.

DML Audio supports a wide range of input configurations. Channels can be fed by WDM audio cards, compatible interfaces or IP-based audio infrastructures such as Dante and Livewire. IP streams as well as FM and AM tuner cards can also be integrated, depending on the chosen architecture. Recordings can be made in mono or stereo and use different sampling rates, including 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz.

Accessing the archive does not require the recording to be paused. DML Player allows users to search for clips by date and time, play back multiple channels simultaneously, and precisely select a section to export using the Mark-In and Mark-Out functions. Access via a web browser is also possible using the DML Web Viewer.

This licence therefore represents a significant capability for multi-channel logging systems, bringing together multiple sources within a single environment whilst maintaining the independent organisation of each recorded stream.
