B&C Speakers - 14CXN76 4+8 Ohm

Designed for compact two-way configurations where space is at a premium but performance is a priority, the B&C Speakers 14CXN76 4+8 Ohm ticks all the right boxes.

It combines a bass driver and a treble driver within the same 14-inch chassis, all under a common neodymium motor. This lightweight structure optimises both efficiency and weight/performance ratio, while facilitating integration into mobile or fixed systems.

On the bass side, the LF section is based on a 76 mm copper coil wound on a glass fibre support, for a power handling of 800 W in programme. It delivers an extended response from 45 Hz, with a very clean low midrange. Efficiency measured at 100dB SPL makes it suitable for loudspeakers requiring dynamics without excessive amplification.

The HF section uses a 75 mm motor with polyester/titanium dome and a 33 mm output. Its efficiency reaches 105 dB and it can handle 160 W at peak. The exponentially curved horn provides controlled coverage at 80°, with good projection and appreciable coherence between the two transducers.

The 14CXN76 also features a range of technical details that work in its favour: double silicone spider, ventilated air gap to limit thermal compression, aluminium demodulation ring to reduce distortion, and waterproof membrane on the front.

Its aluminium bowl and balanced dimensions (359 mm in diameter and 188 mm deep) make it easy to integrate into compact cabinets. The result is a coaxial loudspeaker perfectly suited to stage monitors, full-range systems or high-pressure broadcast loudspeakers.
