The B&C Speakers 15DS115 4 Ohm is a cone loudspeaker designed to meet the needs of the most demanding PA systems for powerful, accurate bass.
This 15-inch subwoofer features a 116mm (4.5") aluminium voice coil, wound in four layers, with a depth of 40mm. This technical choice ensures high energy retention in the air gap, increased sensitivity and reduced distortion, even at very high levels.
Equipped with an inside slug neodymium magnet motor, this 15DS115 offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio and exceptional mechanical strength. It accepts up to 1600 W AES (and 3200 W programme power) and has a sensitivity of 96 dB, making it a high-performance choice for broadcast systems where power density and fidelity of reproduction in the lower end of the spectrum are essential.
With a linear excursion (Xvar) of 14 mm and a maximum displacement capacity of 60 mm peak-to-peak, it is perfectly at ease in subwoofers tuned around 40 Hz, for an extended response from 35 Hz to 1000 Hz. It also benefits from a double-sided waterproof TWP treatment, a double silicone spider with optimised compliance, and a ventilated air gap to limit thermal compression.
This model is ideal for use in loudspeakers with a recommended volume of around 80 dm³, whether for touring applications, line-array systems or high-end active subs. An essential reference in the B&C range, it is powerful, stable and technically accomplished.
