The B&C MD/DE180 8 Ohm diaphragm is a solution for refurbishing a DE180 compression driver while retaining its original acoustic qualities. This component replaces only the active part of the motor, thus avoiding a complete replacement of the loudspeaker, which is often more costly.
The diaphragm is made of polyimide, renowned for its thermal stability, flexibility and durability. Combined with a 44 mm aluminium voice coil, it provides accurate reproduction of the high end of the spectrum, with an operating range of between 1 kHz and 17 kHz. A sensitivity of 106.5 dB ensures high efficiency, even in situations of high sound pressure, while the continuous power handling of 120 W means you can use it with confidence.
The nominal impedance of 8 ohms ensures immediate compatibility with existing filtering, with no need for adaptation. This diaphragm is easily mounted on the motor thanks to its standard two-point drilling, making it a practical choice for technicians, event service providers or installers who want to maintain their equipment without disturbing the overall balance of their system.
