The B&C MD/DE800 8 Ohm diaphragm makes it possible to refurbish a DE800 driver without having to change the whole unit. When a driver starts to lose definition at the top end of the spectrum or shows signs of weakness, this targeted replacement offers a simple, quick and much more cost-effective solution than a complete replacement.
This model uses a polyimide/titanium composite diaphragm, a material renowned for its lightness and strength, capable of withstanding heavy use without compromising treble accuracy.
It is supported by a 75 mm aluminium voice coil, designed to work efficiently in the range from 1 kHz to 18 kHz, with a continuous power handling of 220 W and a high sensitivity of 108 dB. This diaphragm retains all the specifications of the original model, allowing it to be integrated directly without any modification to the crossover or amplification.
Its standard format makes it easy to assemble, and its reliability makes it a preferred choice for sound technicians, event service providers and maintenance managers. Whether it's for a tour, a fixed installation or a one-off upgrade, it will quickly restore clear, balanced and stable sound.
