The D'Addario ETB92-5 Tapewound set is designed for 5-string Long Scale basses with a 50-135 Medium drawbar. Its flattened black nylon cover provides a very soft feel and reduces finger-slipping noise. It delivers a warm, deep, percussive sound with excellent bass presence.

The D'Addario ETB92-5 belongs to the Nylon Tapewound series, renowned for its particularly soft feel and warm tone. Each string is made with a high-carbon steel core for strength and stability. It is then wrapped in flattened black nylon mesh and polished to a smooth, comfortable surface.
The Medium 50-135 drawbar provides firm tension and good bass response. This configuration is ideal for Long Scale 5-string basses, which require a stable, precise bass string. Notes remain deep and well-defined, while retaining a round, natural tone.
The nylon coating greatly reduces finger noise when moving around the neck. This results in a cleaner playing experience, which is particularly appreciated in the studio or for soft styles such as funk and soul. The strings also feel very comfortable under the fingers.
Each set is packaged in a recyclable VCI pouch to protect the strings from corrosion before use. A Players Circle code is included to register the product and earn points. The strings are made in the USA at the D'Addario production centre in New York State.
