The D’Addario Auto Lock Guitar Strap was born out of a simple fear: that the guitar might slip whilst on stage or in the studio. Designer Ned Steinberger solved this problem with a concealed spring that locks the strap the moment it makes contact with the button.
Woven from nylon, the brown strap is 50.8 mm wide, distributing the weight across the shoulder. With no padding, it remains slim enough to wear under a gig jacket or a rehearsal T-shirt.
The adjustable length, ranging from 762 to 1397 mm, suits both guitarists and bassists standing at the front of the stage. The Auto Lock system does away with plastic buckles and jacks integrated into the strap buckle. To remove it, simply operate the clasp and release the spring.
