The Roland TR-8S Cover Decksaver is an uncompromising machine. The TR-8S packs a rare density of control into 414 x 260 mm: individual faders for each instrument, calibrated potentiometer axes, assignment switches used in every session. This level of mechanical precision calls for equally demanding protection - not a generic cover, but a custom-made one.
The material
Smoked grey polycarbonate - the signature colour, distinct from the range's usual transparent - absorbs shocks and liquid splashes without transmitting them to the control units. Made in the UK to a template dedicated to the TR-8S, it fits over the entire surface without any mechanical play. At 650 grams, the 30 mm profile fits into any standard flight case without dimensional constraints.
The gesture
The cover is removed. The faders, potentiometers and switches return to their exact state - no drift, no residual pressure. The session resumes without prior checking. Between uses, the TR-8S remains sealed, intact and ready.
