Presentation
The Denis Wick 4880E-SM5UH Ultra mouthpiece is an evolution of the Ultra X series designed with Steven Mead. Its 25.75 mm bowl diameter promotes precision, clarity and sound control. A new curve at the bottom of the bowl improves the richness and stability of the timbre.
The 6.3 mm thick rim provides remarkable comfort and supports the musician's endurance. The contour of the rim and its inner edge have been reworked to provide cleaner, more natural articulation. The 7.2 mm grain allows air to circulate smoothly and evenly.
The V-type tail has been modified to provide greater projection and sonic presence. The increased external mass enhances overall projection. The wide mouthpiece ensures optimum compatibility with wide-bore euphoniums. This mouthpiece guarantees a homogenous, stable and expressive sound throughout the range.
