Presentation
The Denis Wick 5386-AT4UY mouthpiece is designed to meet the needs of tuba players looking for power and precision. With its 32.8 mm bowl diameter, it provides a large vibration surface for a full, generous sound. Its 8.30 mm throat provides controlled airflow for excellent control of projection and intonation.
This model is particularly well suited to CC tubas with rotary pistons, for which it provides a real core of sound and remarkable stability. The bowl shape promotes a rich, centred timbre with good harmonic density. This design produces a full sound without sacrificing clarity of articulation.
The Ultra series features an optimised mass in the upper part of the mouthpiece, contributing to better centring of the sound. This design also improves stability in both the low and high registers. As a result, the musician benefits from an even response across the entire range.
The rim offers appreciable comfort, limiting fatigue during long rehearsals or concerts. The feel of the support is reassuring, while allowing great playing flexibility.
Thanks to its balance between bowl depth and throat diameter, this mouthpiece allows you to develop powerful, controlled projection. It is equally suited to solo and ensemble playing. The silver-plated finish ensures durability and quality of contact.
