The Denis Wick 5880E-SM4UH Ultra mouthpiece represents the modern evolution of the euphonium models developed with Steven Mead.
Its 26 mm bowl diameter ensures an excellent balance between fullness of sound and precision. The revised bowl shape combines the advantages of a funnel and bowl profile to produce a classic euphonium sound that is rich and focused.
The 6.33 mm rim thickness provides stable comfort while facilitating endurance. The contour of the rim and its inner edge have been adjusted to improve clarity of articulation. The 7.2 mm grain promotes freer airflow and even emission.
The V-type tail has been modified to offer greater projection and consistency of tone. The increased external mass enhances the overall sonic presence. The model is fitted with a wide neck, suitable for euphoniums with a large bore.
This mouthpiece produces a full, even and controlled sound throughout the register.
