Animals as Leaders is an American progressive metal band formed in Washington D.C. in 2007 by guitarist Tosin Abasi after the break-up of his previous band. The trio's musical style, currently made up of Abasi, guitarist Javier Reyes and drummer Matt Garstka, is a complex blend of progressive metal, djent, jazz fusion and electronic elements.
