Picks
The Dunlop BL109P73 Frank Kozik picks have a thickness of 0.73 mm, which retains its rigidity even when sweeping hard. This model does not flex on contact. When played acoustically, the Delrin strikes a clear balance without distorting the harmonics. With modulation, the attack remains legible. It avoids over-smoothing the signal, even in deep effects.

Presentation
The staccato riffs click well with the Dunlop BL109P73 Frank Kozik picks, but they're still supple. The 0.73 mm Delrin works very well on dry attacks. It's not awkward and it doesn't always cut cleanly.
On palm mute/strumming sequences, this model keeps pace. Dynamics remain consistent, without any sudden drops. Tension holds firm, even when you're going hard.
On stage, the grip resists sweat fairly well. But on a tense set, you risk re-centring it a little. Nothing dramatic, just something to watch out for.
With a medium draw, the attack is clean. Occasionally, the bottom end will give way slightly under pressure. With a tight back-and-forth stroke, the Ultex is sharper.
But this Dunlop still responds well. For punk or raw rock, it's still effective.

To find out more...
Frank Kozik, graphic anarchist. Born 1962, died 2023. Posters, vinyl, toys: a total cult. He hijacked pop America. Nixon, rabbits, war, sex, rock. Nothing was sacred. Everything was visual. Screen-printed posters became art objects. Father of the modern gig poster movement. Fan of Black Sabbath and weird cats. Compulsive creative, productive to the extreme. Punk through and through. Worked with Tool, The Offspring, Helmet. Trashy, saturated, assertive style. Diversion, satire, provocation. Kozik was the art of chaos. DIY spirit, acid vision. Designer, label manager, illustrator. An uncompromising visual UFO. He left his mark on the eye and on rock.
