Eddie Van Halen transformed electric guitar playing with his dazzling technique, groove and DIY spirit. Co-founder of the band Van Halen, he pioneered new approaches such as two-handed tapping, while developing his own guitars to suit his playing. An inventive perfectionist, he built his own instruments, some of which have become cult favourites.
Among them, the Circles guitar, with its black design and white motifs, used notably on the Fair Warning tour in 1981. Less well known than the Frankenstrat or the Bumblebee, this strong graphic design is now one of the visual landmarks associated with Eddie.
The EVHPT05 model is inspired by his on-stage props and features his iconic design, printed on authentic guitar picks.
