If you're looking for more than just picks, the Dunlop JHPT14H Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Fire is a box that tells a story.

Dunlop pays tribute to Hendrix's sacred fire. Each pick comes out of an illustrated metal box. The psychedelic "Voodoo Fire" visuals, by ILOVEDUST, conjure up the spirit of 1969. Everything evokes Woodstock: the trance, the distortion, the stretching solo.

The heavy format suits the straightforward attacks. The celluloid reacts instantly. Between the pulp and the string, it crackles. The grip remains reliable without sticking. And the feel remains consistent, even at a sustained pace.

The visual design changes your relationship with the object. It's no longer just a tool. It's an extension of the game. It's an accessory that you put down, display and sometimes collect.

The Jimi Hendrix™ series is for enthusiasts. Those who see the guitar as an outlet. Those who prefer real things to bland objects.

Made in the USA, these accessories speak to the eye as well as the hand. A tribute, yes. But above all, a call to play.

Hendrix improvised a free concert in Maui, filmed for Rainbow Bridge. He owned more than 100 guitars in his lifetime. He was left-handed but ambidextrous when it came to writing. He dreamed of exploring jazz fusion with Miles Davis, but the project never came to fruition. He founded the Band of Gypsys with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. His use of the studio as an instrument prefigured the modern production techniques used in electronic music.
