Presentation
The 2000 series, Drum Workshop's entry-level model, is already much better than many of its competitors' advanced models! Originally designed for students, weekend drummers and self-taught drummers, its all-metal finish and great playability have won over more experienced drummers as a rehearsal pedal or save pedal in case of a glitch on stage! And of course, it's still made in the USA!

Founded in 1977 in California, DW (Drum Workshop) was the brainchild of two enthusiasts, Don Lombardi and John Good, who came up with a concept for a seat/case and then a bass drum pedal made from the moulds of the famous Camco.
In 1983, Don Lombardi went on to launch a range of formidable accessories, including the famous 5002 pedal with a gimbal system. This pedal quickly became a benchmark in the manufacture of bass drum pedals and among professional drummers.
Still in the high-fidelity, ingenious accessory sector, DW also launched the pivoting bi-pod hi-hat stand to save space in your set, as well as cable models that let you place your hi-hat in any space.
Accolite John Good, meanwhile, specialises in observing professional drummers in order to tackle the technicalities of the instrument, from accessories to wood selection and perfect tuning. The idea of listening to the unique sound of each barrel and assembling them into harmonised kits gave rise to the 'Timbre Matching' concept, which became DW's hallmark.
The development of the detail makes its way thanks to these two passionate persons by taking care of the chamfers, by equipping the drums with circles embossed to reinforce the heat of sound and it is thus that it allured in the Nineties of prestigious drummers such as Tommy Lee, Jim Keltner.
Over the years, the DW sound has become a worldwide benchmark for drums made in the USA, and DW supplies the world's most demanding drummers in every category (pop, jazz, fusion, rock, etc.).
