Evolite - Diamond 1940z IP set

The evolite Diamond 1940z IP Set combines two motorised LED moving head lights in a dedicated flight case to meet the demands of live performances, tours and event installations. Each unit features a high-power RGBW light source, a wide zoom range, individual LED control and an IP65-rated design. This combination allows you to create wash effects, narrow beams and graphic animations using a single unit.

Each Diamond 1940z IP features 19 x 40 W 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs. The integration of the four colour components – red, green, blue and white – into each light source facilitates the creation of pure colours, intermediate blends and shades of white suited to various stage set-ups. The LEDs have a stated lifespan of at least 50,000 hours.

Intensity control offers dimming precision across 65,536 levels. This resolution allows for greater finesse when working with fades, cuts and transitions, particularly in environments where slow variations must remain fluid. The strobe, adjustable from 1 to 25 Hz, completes the range, enabling pulsations, rhythmic breaks and more dynamic sequences.

The zoom allows the beam angle to be varied from 3.5° to 48°. At its narrowest setting, the moving head can produce concentrated beams to define the space and structure a scene. By opening the zoom, it covers a wider area and is suitable for use as a wash for flat lighting, backlighting and coloured atmospheres.

The Diamond 1940z IP also produces three-in-one Wash, Beam and Bee Eye effects. Individual LED control, or Pixel Control, goes beyond simple global colour changes. The 19 light sources become controllable graphic elements for creating patterns, sequences, movements and matrix animations. Preset colour macros also make it easy to quickly create colour schemes without having to programme each combination from scratch.

For advanced control, the moving head offers several DMX profiles: 21, 23, 35, 78, 92, 97 or 99 channels. Users can thus choose a relatively compact mode for simple installations or an extended configuration when Pixel Control and advanced functions need to be utilised more fully. Automatic, musical, master-slave and manual modes complement the DMX512 control.

The PAN/TILT motorised system features precise movement control. The PAN range covers 540°, with a stated accuracy of 2.11° per step and fine-tuning down to 0.008°. TILT covers 270°, with a precision of 0.86° per step and fine adjustment down to 0.0034°. Automatic position correction helps maintain consistency of movement when the head needs to return to its coordinates.

The IP65-rated design allows for temporary outdoor use in suitable installations. The connections follow this approach, featuring 3- and 5-pin IP65-rated XLR data sockets and an IP65-rated TrueOne power supply input and output. Up to five units can be daisy-chained at 240 V / 50 Hz or three units at 100 V / 60 Hz using a 2.5 mm² power cable.

The housing combines die-cast aluminium with black, fire-retardant carbon fibre. This construction is designed to withstand the rigours of professional use, whilst the 1.8-inch TFT screen provides access to settings and operating modes directly on the unit.

The evolite Diamond 1940z IP Set is supplied as a set of two lyre-style fixtures in their flight case. This configuration makes it easy to put together a consistent pair for stage performances, events, festivals, audiovisual sets and mobile productions requiring regular transport of the equipment.
