Presentation
The Jazzmaster is one of those guitars that has never left the scene, even after several decades. This American Professional Classic Faded Sherwood Green Metallic version retains that slightly different character, halfway between retro elegance and discreet modernity. The look is unapologetic: tortoiseshell pickguard, nickel/chrome hardware and a slightly tarnished Sherwood Green finish, which gives the impression that it has already lived, without being worn out.
In terms of sound, Fender hasn't strayed far from the model's DNA. The two Jazzmaster '65 Coastline pickups offer a wide grain, more open than a Strat or Tele, with that sweet but articulate edge typical of the model.
The 3-position selector switch lets you switch from a round sound in the neck position to something brighter in the bridge position. The Greasebucket system is there to adjust the high frequencies without darkening the signal, which is still useful when playing with gain or pedals.
The Modern C neck, rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and jumbo medium frets provide a modern feel: nothing holds you back, whether you're playing chords, classic surf or more contemporary lines. The vintage-style floating vibrato and bridge with Mustang bridges ensure a familiar feel, without excessive instability.
Supplied in a gig bag, this Jazzmaster is ideal for those who want to rediscover the spirit of the original model, but with ergonomics designed for today.

To find out more...
Fender has been part of the world's sound scene since the 50s, and the Jazzmaster is a chapter in its own right.
Born in 1958 to appeal to jazz fans (spoiler: it was the surfers and rockers who adopted it), it has survived the decades without being overtaken.
With the American Professional Classic series, the brand has returned to its original DNA, while adapting its instrument to today's habits.
To go with this guitar, don't forget a spare set of strings (Fender USA 250L, if you want to stay in tune), a sturdy stand, or a small multi-effect to gently wake the neighbours.
A good microfibre cloth and a gloss polish won't go amiss if you want to maintain its shiny finish after a few intensive sessions.
