Focal - 100 ICW5

The Focal 100 ICW5 loudspeaker is an innovative product designed and developed in France by Focal. This two-way coaxial loudspeaker, designed for residential use, transforms your sound environment with new musicality and remarkable discretion. You can install it on the wall or ceiling, adapting your sound space to your needs and desires.

At the heart of its performance, the speaker incorporates a 13cm driver with a Polyglass membrane. This exclusive Focal technology applies fine glass microbeads to a cellulose pulp cone. This process reconciles the excellent damping of paper with the rigidity of glass, offering remarkable linearity in the frequency response curve. The result is increased definition in the midrange, producing a natural midrange without coloration and a rich bass.

For high frequencies, the 100 ICW5 features a 25mm aluminium inverted dome tweeter, a Focal signature since 1981. This tweeter generates optimum spatial dispersion and very low directivity, offering unrivalled dynamics. The precision of the sound image (height, width and depth) is remarkable, allowing easy positioning of each instrument. A waveguide has been specifically developed to perfect spatialization and improve this low directivity, guaranteeing a soundstage of incredible stability.

For a balanced sound distribution adapted to your space, the speaker benefits from an ODC filter that ensures controlled directivity and extended sound coverage, eliminating the "shower effect" of the sound. You can also adjust the treble level in three positions (-3dB, 0dB, +3dB) to suit the acoustics of your room.

Simplicity and discretion are the major assets of the 100 ICW5. Its shallow installation depth (87 mm) and optimised mounting brackets (with optimised grip and anti-drop screw system) make installation quick and reliable. The unibody chassis ensures high rigidity and prevents vibrations. The magnetic grilles, supplied ready to paint (circular or square), blend harmoniously and discreetly into any décor.

A considerable advantage of this loudspeaker is its resistance to humidity. Thanks to the 'tropicalisation' process of its Polyglass membrane, the 100 ICW5 is perfectly suited to humid environments, such as bathrooms, thus extending its installation possibilities.
