Gator Cases was founded in 2000 by the father-daughter team Jerry Freed and Crystal Morris in Tampa, Florida. They began by launching a small range of plastic molded cases to guitars Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Tennessee.
Since then they have expanded their product lines by adding flight-cases and bags and bags for products coming from the audio-visual, computer, and common utility for various and diverse instrumentalists (for wind instrument, string, percussion ...).
Currently they offer over 1000 different solutions made from vacuum-formed plastic, molded plastic, wood, sewn and EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate).
Increase the expertise of the firm in the design and manufacture of cases has opened a full division OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer ("OEM parts manufacturer")) that works with the biggest names in the world of 'custom cases for various and varied equipment manufacturers.
In 2008, Gator acquired the production line and manufacturing facilities Protechtor Cases, localized Ft.Wayne, Indiana.
This new effort allowed them to product items with rotary axes and continue their expansion into the market drums.
Gator continues to invest in factories in the USA and expand their existing plants.

In the US, Gator is sold by over 3,000 dealers and is the preferred vendor of the MIO group.
