Gator - GR STUDIO 4U

When you start stacking a few 19" modules on a desk or next to a computer, it quickly becomes unmanageable. The Gator GR-STUDIO-4U is there to tidy things up, without the need for a large stage rack or dedicated cabinet. It offers 4 height units, just enough to neatly store an interface, preamp, compressor or any other standard-format studio equipment.

The rack is made from thick MDF panels covered with a black oak veneer, which is discreet and unobtrusive in a home studio environment. It is designed to be placed directly on a flat surface, such as a desk or console, without sliding or moving. No wheels, no lid, no complications.

The steel mounting rails are solid and well aligned, so you can mount your gear with ease, using the usual screws. The 38 cm depth inside is more than enough for most audio or broadcast peripherals, even those a little deeper than average.

It's a good compromise if you want to pack a few essential machines into a single rack, without turning your studio into a warehouse. And its format means it can be integrated into an existing cabinet if required. In short, it's a simple, clean and effective way of keeping your racks accessible and organised, without having to buy bespoke furniture.
