Presentation
The Gibson 1959 ES-355 Reissue Light Aged Watermelon Red is a true work of musical art, reissued by the prestigious Gibson Custom Shop.
Considered the pinnacle of ES guitars, this reinterpretation accurately recreates the legendary 1959 ES-355. Finished in a Light Aged finish by the master craftsmen at Murphy Lab, this guitar has the look and feel of a vintage model that has endured for decades.
Crafted with a semi-hollow maple/poplar/maple body, reinforced with a solid maple center block, the ES-355 delivers exceptional resonance while resisting feedback. The solid mahogany neck with a Medium C profile is topped with an ebony fingerboard with vintage '50s pearloid inlays.
Its 22 authentic medium jumbo frets provide smooth playability, ideal for expressive solos or rich chords.
The unwaxed Custom Bucker Alnico 3 pickups, at the neck and bridge positions, deliver a warm and articulate tone, faithful to the sonic heritage of the '50s. Controls include two volumes, two tones, CTS Audio Taper 500K pots and Paper in Oil capacitors, allowing a wide range of tones, from crystal clear cleans to rich and dynamic distortions.
The premium aesthetic of this ES-355 is highlighted by aged gold hardware, Kluson tuners with pearloid tips and a multi-ply reinforced celluloid pickguard.
It comes with a five-latch Lifton reissue case for optimum protection and a certificate of authenticity.
The Gibson 1959 ES-355 Reissue is more than an instrument: it is a collector's item, embodying Gibson's craftsmanship and musical excellence, perfect for vintage guitar lovers and players seeking timeless sound and unmatched style.
