Presentation
The 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Reissue Maestro VOS is an iconic piece that captures the essence of a defining era in Gibson history. In 1963, the SG was still called the Les Paul, marking a stylistic and sonic transition for this legendary guitar.
This faithful reissue pays homage to that legacy, combining vintage specifications with meticulous detailing to recreate an authentic experience.
Crafted from solid mahogany, this SG Custom is distinguished by its Vintage Original Spec (VOS) Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which accurately mimics the look and feel of a guitar that has been aged over time.
Its 1960s SlimTaper neck profile offers fast, comfortable playability, while its ebony fingerboard, adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays, provides a smooth, luxurious surface for fluid playing. The skin glue adjustment, coupled with a long tenon, ensures rich sustain and increased resonance.
On the sound side, this guitar is equipped with three unwaxed Custom Bucker Alnico 3 pickups, designed to authentically reproduce the distinctive timbre of the original PAFs. These pickups offer an impressive range of sound, from warm and open tones to powerful and dynamic sounds.
The CTS 500K potentiometers, combined with Black Beauty capacitors, allow precise control of volume and tone.
The Maestro Vibrola, with its iconic long design, adds a touch of expressiveness, ideal for subtle or bold vibratos. The ABR-1 bridge and Grover Kidney tuners ensure perfect intonation and impeccable tuning stability.
Delivered in a Custom Shop hardshell case with a Certificate of Authenticity, this SG Custom Reissue is a true piece of history, ideal for collectors and musicians seeking vintage sound and timeless aesthetics.
