Presentation
The Gibson 1967 Flying V Vibrola Sparkling Burgundy is a meticulous reinterpretation of one of Gibson's most daring and iconic models. A true symbol of the avant-garde since its inception, this Flying V captures the rebellious and visionary spirit of the era while delivering an unparalleled sonic and aesthetic experience.
Crafted with a solid mahogany body and neck, this guitar combines lightness and resonance, essential characteristics for long sustain and warm tone. The Sparkling Burgundy gloss lacquer finish adds a touch of elegance, highlighting its modernist and timeless lines.
The '60s SlimTaper neck profile offers fast and comfortable playability, ideal for expressive solos and powerful riffs. Topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard adorned with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, the guitar strikes the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. The 22 authentic medium-jumbo frets ensure precise action across the entire 24.75-inch scale length.
At the heart of its sonic character, a pair of Custombucker Alnico III pickups deliver a wide tonal palette. These unwaxed pickups restore the clarity of crystal-clear chords while delivering rougher, more overdriven tones when needed.
Controls include two volume knobs and a tone knob hand-wired with 500K CTS potentiometers, ensuring optimum sonic accuracy.
The Vibrola bridge, paired with Kluson Reissue Double Ring tuners, ensures impeccable tuning stability while allowing for subtle, controlled vibrato. Black Top Hats with silver inserts and a three-ply pickguard add classic aesthetic and functional touches.
Delivered in a Custom Shop hardshell case, this Flying V comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, highlighting its collectible status. Whether for blues, rock or metal fans, this reissue of the Gibson 1967 Flying V Vibrola embodies musical and visual excellence.
