Presentation
The Gibson 80s Flying V Ebony marks the return of a legend, beloved by hard rock and metal guitarists since the 1980s. Inspired by the 1984 model, this guitar sports a bold look with its iconic V shape and a mahogany body with a gloss ebony finish, perfect for those who love big tones and punchy visual styles.
The SlimTaper mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, ensuring optimal playing comfort for fast and aggressive riffs. Its slim profile and 22 medium jumbo frets facilitate smooth and fast movements, essential for wild solos.
The 80s Flying V is equipped with the new 80s Tribute pickups, designed to faithfully reproduce the fat tone and ample sustain of the original models. With these pickups, the guitar delivers a rich midrange and punchy highs that were characteristic of the era and prized by heavy metal guitarists.
The control system includes two volumes and a master tone, combined with Orange Drop capacitors for clear and precise sound, even when adjusted hard. The three-way selector switch makes it easy to switch between the neck and bridge pickups or combine the two for a wide range of tones.
On the hardware side, the Flying V is equipped with a Nashville aluminum Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum tailpiece, ensuring robust tuning stability and impeccable resonance. Grover Rotomatic tuners with contemporary buttons add a touch of modernity while offering rock-solid reliability.
Sold with a custom hardshell case, the Gibson 80s Flying V Ebony is a sleek and powerful reinterpretation of a legendary model, ready to accompany today's guitarists in unforgettable stage performances.
