Gibson J-45 Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst LH The Round Shoulder silhouette of the Gibson J-45 Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst is understated and familiar, before revealing, on stage, the character of its Belly Up reverse bridge and the precision of the L.R. Baggs VTC system.

Presentation
The Belly Up inverted bridge on the Gibson J-45 Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst stands out from the classic dreadnought silhouette, and its rosewood construction alters the way the strings pull on the soundboard. Its Sitka spruce top, stretched over a traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, allows the bass to breathe without being drowned out.
The mahogany back and sides, edged with single-layer binding, tighten up the midrange around the attack. The mahogany neck with a SlimTaper profile, joined by a composite dovetail joint, extends the 24.75-inch scale length to a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, where 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays are aligned beneath a black-and-white truss rod cover.
A black nut measuring 43.82 mm sets the string spacing in front of the Grover Rotomatics tuners with kidney-shaped knobs, held in place by TUSQ tuning pegs at the TUSQ bridge. The L.R. Baggs VTC piezo under the nut reproduces the string attack, controlled by volume and tone knobs, with no additional housing on the top.
The Tear Drop pickguard protects the top from pick strikes, whilst the nickel hardware complements the Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish of the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. Fitted with .012 to .053 strings as standard, a Gibson hard case and a Gibson accessories kit complete the package, ready to play straight out of the box.
