HeadRush - FRFR-8 CAB

With the FRFR-8 CAB, HeadRush delivers a sound that is completely free of colouration, calibrated to reproduce the raw signal from a modelling amp or effects processor. The custom 8-inch driver and its 1-inch compression driver separate the bass from the treble right at the source; every frequency remains clear between 60 Hz and 20 kHz, even at full volume. The 90° conical horn disperses the sound in a fan-shaped pattern.

The peak power of 480 W, distributed as 240 W RMS (200 W for bass and 40 W for treble), delivers a maximum SPL of 125 dB without saturating the speaker. The 3-band Baxandall equaliser and variable high-frequency cut-off filter allow you to adjust the tone to suit the venue or the style being played. The combo XLR or 6.35 mm jack line-level input accepts a modeller or effects processor, whilst the XLR output routes the signal to a front-of-house system or a recording setup. The closed-back wooden cabinet houses the woofers, whilst the Tolex finish and fabric grille protect the cabinet on the road, weighing in at 11 kg with dimensions of 363 x 358 x 216 mm.

Bluetooth 5.3, with a range of up to 30 metres, connects the speaker to a smartphone for wireless playback of backing tracks, with a dedicated volume control separate from the main volume. The built-in tilting feet direct the sound towards the guitarist’s ears during a monitor setup, whilst the carrying handle makes it easy to transport the speaker between the studio and the stage.
