Guitar Cabinet

The Hiwatt Park SA-112 cabinet fitted with a 25 W Celestion Greenback reproduces the raw, expressive character of period British sounds. Its design is faithful to the historical models, offering direct projection and great interaction between the amp and the wood of the cabinet. An ideal choice for guitarists looking for a lively, responsive sound.

The Hiwatt Park SA-112 in its Greenback version perpetuates the spirit of the British baffles of the 60s, designed to let the sound breathe and bring out the guitarist's touch.

Built according to Park's historic methods and dimensions, it uses materials selected for their natural resonance. The wood here is not just used to contain the loudspeaker: it plays an active part in the colour and dynamics of the sound.

The 12", 25W Celestion Greenback is renowned for its musical compression and slightly rough grain, bringing tube amp saturation to life.

It naturally softens the highs while retaining expressive midrange and a rounded bottom end. This type of reproduction will appeal to fans of classic rock and vintage blues, looking for a more organic and nuanced response than from a modern loudspeaker.

The SA-112's sloped-panel format promotes a clear, enveloping soundstage, which is just as practical for small stages as it is for work at moderate volume. Compact, authentic and vibrant, this cabinet is for those who want to rediscover the feeling of a 'live' amp, close to the playing and the hand.

Jim Marshall first made a name for himself with his shop, a place where local musicians could meet, swap and try out equipment. Internationally, he sold his amps under the Marshall brand, but in the UK he used the name Park Amplifiers. It was here that he was able to experiment and keep in direct contact with the burgeoning British music scene. Often described as "a bit edgier", Park amps became highly sought-after in the UK, as they were much rarer than their Marshall-badged equivalents.

Mitch Colby has devoted his career to Marshall Amplification, and for over ten years he has been working to perfect the Park range. He has taken the best circuits and applied himself to precisely recreating the sounds and sonic universe of the first models designed by Jim. At the same time, Mitch has designed four new amplifiers to continue the spirit and exceptional heritage of Jim Marshall and Park Amplifiers.
