Presentation
HPA Promix 12 UX is designed for those who need a versatile console to provide the soundtrack for a band, an acoustic duo, a DJ set or a meeting with HF microphones. The 12 channels offer enough space to connect a full complement of microphones, keyboards, an external player and a DJ controller return, while maintaining a clear surface with 10 linear faders to control levels at a glance.
The 10 XLR mic inputs feature a dedicated compressor, ideal for smoothing out vocal variations on a dynamic singer, a slightly enthusiastic host or a chatty drummer on overheads. The +48 V phantom power supply allows the use of condenser microphones and active DIs. In addition, the 8 1/4" line inputs and 2 stereo inputs make it easy to connect keyboards, drum machines or multimedia decks.
Signal processing remains highly intuitive. Each channel benefits from a 3-band equalizer with semi-parametric midrange for fine-tuning the presence of a voice or the body of a guitar. Frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, distortion of 0.005% and a signal-to-noise ratio of > 80 dBu ensure clean, usable reproduction, whether broadcasting on a compact front-of-house kit or a fixed installation in a multi-purpose room.
An integrated DSP processor provides 24 types of effect, from simple delay to room reverb, with adjustable depth to control ambience without drowning out the mix. So you can add a little air to a vocal or thicken up a snare drum without using an external rack. The integrated MP3 player supports playback via Bluetooth, USB key or SD card, as well as recording to USB media or SD card, making it easy to keep track of a concert or conference.
The USB 2.0 section (2 In / 2 Out, 24 bit / 48 kHz) opens the door to home studios and live streaming. You can send the mix to a computer to record a podcast, a band demo or a Facebook live stream, then send software feedback back to the console. The solid structure and 19" rack-mount capability (optional kit) make it easy to integrate into a flight or fixed rack for regular mobile performances.
