The Hughes & Kettner Red Box 5 is a high-quality direct box. It is designed to offer optimum flexibility in your audio setups. Featuring a single channel, it is equipped with a 6.35 mm (1/4") Jack input for easy connection to your amplifier. For outputs, it offers a Jack socket and a balanced XLR output. This allows for extensive compatibility with different sound systems.
It is advantageous for amps that do not have a line output. You can thus capture a superior quality timbre directly from the amp. It offers several simulation filters. You will be able to choose between simulations of small or large rooms as well as modern or vintage speakers.
You will be able to adjust the response of the baffle with two available options: loose or tight, to further customize the acoustics. This model is equipped with a ground switch to avoid ground loops. The power supply is flexible. It is done either by the phantom power of a console via the XLR input, an external adapter, or a 9 V battery.
