Metal / Modern Guitar

With its Dark Tide Blue Flat finish, the RG5121R DBF Prestige offers a direct and stable approach to modern playing, combining a high-precision fixed bridge, versatile active pickups and the iconic ergonomics of Prestige necks.

ARTICLE N° 117156
The RG5121R DBF Prestige is aimed at guitarists who want a feeling of permanent control, without unnecessary artifice. This version stands out for its choice of a fixed bridge, designed to provide immediate vibration transmission and impeccable stability, whether for tight rhythm playing or highly articulate lead parts.

The African mahogany body provides a dense, coherent sound base. The bass remains firm, the midrange present, and the overall sound remains clear even when the gain is turned up. Combined with a Super Wizard HP neck in maple and wenge, the instrument offers a fast response, with a fluid feel that makes it easy to move along the entire length of the neck. The profile remains fine and even, encouraging both technical playing and extended chords.

The rosewood fingerboard is edged and has staggered pearlescent markings for a softer feel under the fingers. The 24 jumbo stainless steel frets contribute to a clean, long-lasting attack, while reducing wear over time. The Prestige Fret Edge Treatment results in perfectly smoothed edges, noticeable from the very first minutes of play.

The Gibraltar Standard III bridge plays a central role in the character of this RG. Its design provides excellent vibration transfer and right-hand comfort, while maintaining solid tuning stability. Coupled with the Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL saddle and Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, the whole package inspires confidence, even under sustained playing conditions.

As for the electronics, the Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic delivers a powerful, precise and silent response. Their modern character is complemented by the voicing switch, which lets you explore a second, more open and nuanced sound signature. The Luminlay side markers make the neck easy to read in dark environments, and the hard case supplied confirms the professional vocation of this RG Prestige, designed to last and withstand intensive use.
