The RGR5221R TFR Prestige is clearly in the tradition of Ibanez's most radical RGs, with an uncompromising approach to precision, attack and stability. This fixed-bridge version is based on a simple philosophy: an instrument that's responsive, direct and perfectly playable, even in the most saturated situations.

The Super Wizard HP neck in maple and wenge is the heart of the set. Thin, fast and extremely comfortable, it encourages fluid playing along the entire length of the scale, with no feeling of fatigue, even during prolonged sessions.

The stainless steel jumbo frets, combined with the Prestige Fret Edge Treatment, offer a clean, even feel, with a precise attack and increased longevity. The edged rosewood fingerboard provides a natural balance between definition and smoothness, while retaining excellent note-by-note legibility.

The body combines an ash top with an African mahogany back, a choice that combines clarity and depth. The ash provides attack and clean response, while the mahogany enriches the midrange and enhances overall projection. This solid acoustic base is exploited by a pair of Bare Knuckle Brute Force pickups, renowned for their high output and ability to remain legible in the densest saturations.

In both neck and bridge positions, the sound is tight, precise and powerful, with excellent string separation. The coil-tap widens the sound spectrum and allows you to access more open textures when the context calls for it.

The Gibraltar Standard III fixed bridge contributes to the overall stability of the instrument, while ensuring optimum vibration transfer and appreciable playing comfort thanks to its lower profile. The Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL saddle and Gotoh MG-T self-locking tuners guarantee reliable, consistent tuning. The Luminlay side markers complete the package, providing immediate visibility on stage. The instrument comes with its own hard case, as required by the Prestige series.
