The DN32-MADI expansion card enables your Midas M32 or Behringer X32 digital console to exchange 24-bit multichannel audio streams at 44.1 or 48 kHz with any other MADI-compatible device. Protocols supported by the DN32-MADI include AES10-1991 with up to 56 x 56 channels and AES10-2003 with up to 64 x 64 channels.

Presentation
the DN32-MADI has duplex SC optical sockets (IEC874-19) for connection to MADI devices using a multimode fibre-optic cable.
Klark Teknik has successfully tested multimode cable connections up to 500 metres long, and distances of up to 2 km are possible.
Two BNC connectors are also available for transmission via standard coaxial cables up to 100 metres long.
When both optical and coaxial interfaces are used, the coaxial I/O acts as a redundant connection and is automatically activated if the optical connection becomes unavailable.
