Thanks to this Mini-Jack to XLR summing cable, it's easy to switch from a stereo signal from a Mini-Jack 3.5mm socket to a mono signal from an XLR socket. So you can easily connect your multimedia equipment to a mixing console or an active loudspeaker. The resistor matrix inside the connectors prevents level addition when summing the stereo signal to mono. This guarantees distortion-free replication of the stereo signal in mono.
