External mono microphones connected to the stereo input of a nomadic recorder generally only transmit the signal on one channel. The innovative design of this cable solves this problem. It allows a balanced mono signal to be transmitted on two unbalanced stereo channels. Combined with its low capacitance of 115 pF/m (35 pF/ft.) and high-quality double-shielded cable, this design means that high-quality mono microphones can finally be connected on two channels.
