The difference between this cable and a standard network patch is a decisive mechanical detail: the female etherCON connector physically locks onto the destination socket, making accidental disconnection impossible even in a moving or vibrating environment. The 60° angled outlet reduces stress on dense rack cases, protects the bending radius and facilitates passage in tight cable trays.
Under the jacket, the construction is based on four AWG 23/7 twisted pairs with pair-by-pair S/FTP shielding - maximum electromagnetic isolation in cable-dense environments. A stabilised impedance of 100 Ohm and a bandwidth of up to 600 MHz maintain a data rate of 10 Gbit/s over the entire length of the reel. The 8.5 mm PUR jacket is resistant to abrasion, oils, chemicals and frost down to -40°C. Halogen-free and flame-retardant, it is compatible with the regulatory constraints of ERP rooms.
This 75-metre reel is designed for fixed and mobile deployments of IP audio - Dante, AES67, RAVENNA, SMPTE ST2110 - and also covers DMX networks for lighting control. The GT380 reel ensures twist-free unwinding. The transparent heat-shrink tubing protects the connector-sheath junction, and the labelling area quickly identifies the cable in the rack or control room. On the RJ45 side, the shielded CAT6a metal connector guarantees continuity of shielding throughout the chain.
