Presentation
With its Satin Hypernova Blue finish and quilted maple top, this Legator Ninja Super Shred immediately stands out visually. But above all, it's a guitar designed for musicians who explore very wide registers. With 9 strings, tension management becomes essential, and multi-scale plays a central role here. The 28.5" to 30" scale ensures clean, defined lows, while maintaining comfort on the high strings.
The through-body neck in wenge and maple provides good stability over time, with a fluid feel in the hand. The Richlite fingerboard, with its progressive radius from 14" to 16", is a natural accompaniment to playing. You can move easily from chords to more technical parts without feeling a break. The jumbo stainless steel frets add to this impression of consistency, especially if you're playing fast or with precision.
As for the electronics, we're taking a more direct approach. A single Fishman Fluence Modern pickup, with volume and push/pull to change voicing. It's straight to the point, but still very effective. The sound remains legible, even on the lowest notes, and the killswitch lets you add rhythmic effects if you need to.
The mahogany body maintains a good overall balance, both in terms of weight and sonic response. This is a guitar for those who want to go far in the register, without complicating their setup unnecessarily.
